The retroactive subsidy concerns a total of 1,250,000 benefits for the months of February and March
The payment of the retroactive subsidy on electricity bills of commercial consumers with a power supply of up to 35 kVA, bakeries as well as farmers, amounting to 85 million euros, for the months of February and March was announced tonight by the Ministry of Environment and Energy.
The retroactive subsidy concerns a total of 1,250,000 benefits and the amount comes from the Energy Transition Fund.
In particular, beneficiaries of the subsidy are all non-domestic consumers of electricity with business activity, who meet the following criteria:
A) They have power supplies up to 35 kVA, or have a main activity with Activity Code Number (KAD) 10.71, (Bakery production of fresh confectionery items) i.e. bakeries, regardless of supply power limit and voltage level or have agricultural use supply regardless of supply power limit and voltage level.
B) From February 2022 to July 2022 they were contracted to variable electricity supply tariffs that are adjusted based on the wholesale electricity purchase price (variable electricity supply tariffs) and from August 2022 to November 2022 they are contracted on floating tariffs or on tariffs without an adjustment clause.
C) They have notified both the electricity grid operator and the Electricity Supplier of their Tax Registration Number (TIN).
