by

Banker Ricardo Lacerda, founder of BR Partners, contested the message of Senator-elect Sergio Moro (União Brasil-PR) on Twitter about the Bolsonarist attacks in Brasília this Sunday (8).

“Protests have to be peaceful. Invasions of public buildings and depredation are not answers. The opposition needs to be done in a democratic way, respecting the law and institutions. The invaders need to withdraw from public buildings before the situation worsens,” he wrote. the former judge on the vandalism that hit the Planalto Palace, the Congress and the STF (Federal Supreme Court).

“A shameful and regrettable demonstration given the seriousness of the incidents”, countered the banker. Lacerda, who was one of the first businessmen to speak out about the case this Sunday, used harsher words. He said that the attacks raise institutional risk and those responsible need to be exemplarily punished. The banker referred to the coup demonstrators as “bandits and scoundrels wielding the national flag in acts of aggression against our institutions”.
