Payment of Bolsa Família begins this Wednesday (18); see calendar

The first payments of 2023 of the Auxílio Brasil, which is renamed Bolsa Família, begin this Wednesday, January 18th. The release follows a staggered schedule.

Sought, the Ministry of Citizenship did not say how many families will benefit this month.

To find out the day on which they will receive the benefit, the family must look at the last digit of the NIS (Social Identification Number), printed on the holder’s card. For each number, there is a different payment date.

Payments are made available in the sequence from 1 to zero, during the last ten working days of each month. The exception is during the month of December, when all payments take place by the 22nd.

Monthly installments are available for withdrawal only for 120 days after the date indicated on the calendar, and families can check the payment statement in the “Message from the federal government”, with the amount of the benefit.

According to the Minister of Social Development, Wellington Dias, the federal government will accelerate the re-registration of Bolsa Família to ensure that in March families with children up to six years old can receive the extra R$ 150 per child, which will be added to the R$ 600 from the program.

According to Dias, the idea is to make the extra payment in March “for those who are confident in updating their registration”.
