Regarding the 2022 Christmas gift and the cases of non-payment complaints, it is known that 612 complaints related to non-payment were submitted to 2,131 employees. Following the intervention of the Labor Inspectorate, 232 companies demonstrated compliance and 1,186 workers were paid the amounts owed (582,762 euros).
In 34 cases of non-payment, the automatic procedure was initiated, after the transmission of complaint reports to the Police Departments.
At the same time, during the period of application of the holiday hours and the opening of the shops on the corresponding Sundays, the services of the Labor Inspectorate carried out 901 checks in shops employing 4,291 workers. In 162 cases, a violation of the provisions of the labor legislation was found. The checks concerned working time limits, weekly rest, undeclared work, overtime employment, failure to submit a declaration of working time organization and failure to submit a supplementary table.
