Bank branches are closed to the public this Wednesday (25), due to the anniversary of the city of São Paulo. The information is from the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban).
The self-service areas will be available to customers, as well as the banks’ digital and remote channels (internet and mobile banking). Consumption bills (water, energy, telephone, etc.) and payment slips due on the day of the holiday (25th) can be paid, without additional charges, on the following business day.
On the 26th (Thursday) and 27th (Friday), banks are open normally in locations that do not have municipal holidays.
Febraban recalls that customers can also schedule payments for consumption bills or pay them at the ATMs themselves, if they have a bar code. Bank slips can be scheduled or paid through DDA (Authorized Direct Debit).
“Electronic means are a practical and extremely safe alternative and offer virtually all financial transactions in the banking system. Internet banking, mobile banking and ATMs can be used to pay bills, check balances and statements and transfers, for example. Bank by telephone and correspondent are also among the service alternatives”, said Febraban.
