Greece with inflation at 7.2% has the sixth lowest inflation in the Eurozone
A further de-escalation of inflation in the Eurozone, from 9.2% in December to 8.5% in January, Eurostat predicts. Greece, with inflation from 7.6% in December to 7.2% in January, has the sixth lowest inflation in the Eurozone.
Energy is expected to have the biggest burden on eurozone inflation in January (17.2%, compared to 25.5% in December), followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (14.1%, compared to 13.8% in December), non-energy industrial goods (6.9%, vs. 6.4% in December) and services (4.2% vs. 4.4% in December).
