The project will be financed by resources collected from a contribution of the Republic of Cyprus and private donations
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the outgoing President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiadis, were present in Mati, where the works for the creation of a Memorial Park donated by the Republic of Cyprus are being carried out.
The two leaders took part in the foundation ceremony of the Memorial Park, which will be funded by funds collected from a contribution of the Republic of Cyprus and private donations.
This is an important intervention that bears the seal of the Cypriot people and the Republic of Cyprus, as an act of solidarity and gratitude towards Greece.
The cost of the projects will amount to approximately 12 million euros. The 11 million euros come from a donation from the Republic of Cyprus and the rest from donations from Cypriot citizens.
Earlier, Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomed the president of the Republic of Cyprus at Megaros Maximos where an agreement was signed for the mutual academic recognition of university degrees.
