125,000 new beneficiaries who immediately obtain the digital card were drawn – The program offers a residence subsidy of 150 euros per beneficiary and 200 euros for beneficiaries with disabilities
They were drawn 125,000 more new beneficiaries who immediately acquire the digital card of the “Tourism for All” program of the Ministry of Tourism.
It is noted that the new beneficiaries are added to the already 275,000, reaching a total of 400,000.
The program offers eaccommodation allowance amounting to 150 euros per beneficiary and 200 euros for disabled beneficiaries.
For the first time, the program is implemented with a digital card for easy and fast payments, it includes all hotels and accommodations in all destinations in the country, while payment is made directly to all service providers.
According to the Minister of Tourism, Vassilis Kikilia, “by drawing an additional 125,000 intangible digital cards, we are supporting our fellow citizens who cannot or do not have them, giving them the opportunity to rest and enjoy the beauties of our homeland, even in the heart of winter. At the same time, the utilization of the cards in the off-season months significantly strengthens the accommodation owners but also in general the local economies (retail, trade, primary sector) in the country’s winter destinations, within the framework of our strategy for tourism all 356 days of the year.
With “Tourism for All” we have so far helped a total of 400,000 families take vacations or short-day trips, while ensuring the continuity of the program at least until 2025.”
The Deputy Minister of Tourism responsible for the implementation of the program, Sofia Zaharaki, said:
“Another commitment of the Ministry of Tourism is being implemented. With the new 125,000 beneficiaries drawn, the “Tourism for All” program now reaches 400,000 beneficiaries, effectively supporting the right of Greek citizens to vacation. It is a dividend from last year’s success of Greek tourism, which we are returning to our fellow citizens, at the start of an even more dynamic year for the country.
The program supports all Greek destinations throughout the year, serving our main objective of extending the tourist season, and participation of all our destinations in the tourism development of the country.”
It is recalled that the new 125,000 beneficiaries will be able to activate and then use their card as soon as they receive the relevant activation message. Program cards can be redeemed until the end of June.”
