Panel SA: Mercadante apologizes to trade unionists who did not attend the inauguration and blames Bolsonaro management

Aloizio Mercadante wrote an apology to send to the union centrals who were upset because they were not invited to his inauguration ceremony as president of the BNDES on Monday (6) and blamed the Bolsonaro administration for the mistake.

In the letter to be sent to union members, Mercadante states that the fact that all union centrals were not invited to the event was a serious mistake.

Leaders of Força, UGT and CSB complained of lack of prestige. CUT went to the event.

“The orientation was that everyone should be invited to the act. However, the bank’s ceremonial was completely dismantled by the previous administrations, which emptied the BNDES events, which contributed to the mistake in issuing the invitations”, it says in the statement.

He is also going to invite all the union centrals to a meeting in which the BNDES’ strategic plan will be presented and says that the participation of the union centrals is “essential”.

“I have deep respect and a historic relationship with the centrals. Our management at the bank will be marked by dialogue and understanding, a fundamental characteristic of all our governments, and the doors of the BNDES will always be open”, states Mercadante in the letter.
