The federal government should establish partnerships with states and municipalities to speed up the delivery of properties in very advanced works of the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program, according to the Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa. He stated that the agreements will allow the delivery of 170,000 units.

This Saturday (11) the minister visited a condominium in Santo Amaro da Purificação, in Recôncavo Baiano, renovated at the initiative of the Union and the government of Bahia, under the management of PT Jerônimo Rodrigues.

“When I was here in January, I saw this condominium that had been completed six years ago, started during the Dilma government, and which was left out. , said Costa, who was governor of Bahia for the PT.

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s (PT) team is discussing a legal solution for states and municipalities to carry out renovation services, as they are generally more agile in this regard. “By the end of the year, we want to deliver those 170,000 units that I mentioned. We returned with track 1 and that will be the flagship of the program”, said the minister.

Tier 1 is intended for low-income families and receives more favorable financing conditions, which were extinguished by the previous administration of Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The government plans to complete the design of the redesign of Minha Casa, Minha Vida by the next 15th and extinguish the name Casa Verde e Amarela, created by Bolsonaro.

One of the novelties must be that, at President Lula’s request, the new developments in the program will have balconies for residents.

A Sheet showed that the new Minha Casa, Minha Vida inherits a liability of 130.5 thousand houses whose works are delayed or paralyzed.

The survey by the Ministry of Cities, obtained by the Sheet in January, it shows that there are 1,115 developments delayed or paralyzed, all still from Minha Casa, Minha Vida. The oldest had the contract signed in 2009, the year it was launched, but most were hired between 2014 and 2018.

Together, the projects have already received contributions of R$ 4.8 billion, with the majority (R$ 3.8 billion) going to paralyzed works.
