Swedish furniture giant Ikea has announced that it will raise the price of its products by around 9% in all countries where it operates. The company attributes the transfer to the increase in transport and raw material costs.
The rise comes after pressure from demand for home products, which grew in the pandemic. According to the company, since last year, the cost of transport has risen, and it was necessary to redirect goods between logistics centers to reduce interruptions in the supply chain.
The Ingka Group, owner of the brand, operates through franchises and has 392 stores in 32 markets, such as the USA, Portugal, China, Russia and Europe.
