In the context of self-evident support and solidarity with its passengers Tempe train crashthe Administration of EFKA gave an order to all the Agency’s services to -as a matter of priority- serve the passengers of the train accident in Tempe and their relatives (first and second degree relatives).

In particular, for matters related to the competence of the General Directorate of Benefits and Health, the following apply:

Their new or pending requests for benefits (sickness benefits, maternity benefits, funeral expenses) are processed on a priority basis by the competent Departments of the Local Addresses of residence and all the necessary actions are immediately completed in order to make the payment of the requested benefits without any delay.

New or pending requests for KEPA are processed on a priority basis by the competent KEPA Secretariats of the Local Directorates and forwarded immediately to the Medical Evaluation Division of GDPR.

Bureaucratic procedures are reduced to a minimum, as in terms of supporting documents, only any document is required, from which it can be seen that it is a beneficiary of the above category.

In this case, it is even sufficient to submit a relevant Responsible Declaration (DR).

It is pointed out that in any case, the General Directorate of Benefits and Health, like any other service of the Agency, will be available at all times to both the victims and their relatives, as well as to the Local Offices of e-EFKA, in order to assist in any way possible way to provide immediate service and valid information to the beneficiaries.
