In the field of economy, Chr. Staikouras emphasized that Greece in 2022 had twice the economic growth rate than the European averagemanaged to significantly reduce unemployment and added that despite the fact that Greece has a persistent inflation, it is the fourth lowest among all EU countries. He also pointed out that Greece managed to channel the third highest resources, as a percentage of GDP to support households and businesses and at the same time achieved an improvement in the stability of public finances.

“All this is a strong legacy in a Europe of high new challenges at the geopolitical level, a monetary policy that is becoming more and more restrictive and a fiscal policy that will become stricter in the future,” the Finance Minister emphasized and concluded by saying: “In recent years all together in Greece we achieved important victories.
