Stock prices recorded a strong recovery in today’s session, amid an upward reaction in the European markets as well, with the market closing above the levels of 1,070 units. The market rebounded after two bearish sessions, during which the main stock index had posted a combined loss of 3.11%.

From the high capitalization, the shares of Mytileneos, Alpha Bank, OPAP and Piraeus outperformed.

The General Price Index closed at 1,074.07 points, marking an increase of 2.34%.

The value of transactions amounted to 139.93 million euros, while 44,549,005 shares.

The large-cap index gained 2.66%, while the mid-cap index gained 1.65%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Mytilene (+5.37%), Alpha Bank (+5.13%), OPAP (+4.65%), Piraeus (+4. 60%), of Ellactor (+3.93%) and PPC (+3.78%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of OTE (-0.83%), Jumbo (-0.78%) and Motor Oil (-0.77%).

Of the individual indices, the biggest increase was recorded by the Travel (+4.49%) and Banking (+4.11%) indices, while the biggest losses were recorded by the Telecommunications (-0.81%) and Personal indices Products (-0.29%).

Piraeus and Alpha Bank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 15,377,793 and 9,101,177 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Piraeus with 31.36 million euros and OTE with 18.17 million euros.

92 stocks moved up, 15 fell and 20 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Frigoglass +19.83% and Reds +11.29%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Akritas -15.32% and Attica Bank -9.90%.
