A unique one cultural destinationwhich includes 14 monuments, is designed by LAMDA Development within its redevelopment Ellinikou with the aim of highlighting the cultural and historical heritage of the region.

As pointed out in today’s announcement by Lamda, traces of prehistoric, ancient, Byzantine and modern monuments together constitute a fascinating experience of 12 kilometers, between the future of Europe’s largest urban regeneration and the cultural heritage of Greece.

Crossing the development in Elliniko, via the Central Pedestrian Walk from Vouliagmenis to the beach front, visitors have the opportunity to tour the 14 monuments of Elliniko, namely:

* The section of the Classical Cemetery, in the area of ​​the “Argyroupoli” metro station

* The Classic Cemetery and Ancient Road section, in the area of ​​the TRAM station

* The English Shed (Pagoda)

* The Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi

* Hassani hill

* The Maintainable Shed (A)

* The Maintainable Shed (B)

* The Preserved Hangar (C), which has been restored and functions as the Experience Center of Hellinikon

* The Preserved Eastern Airport

* The Hellinikon Burial Monument, which has already been moved to its original location

* The section of the Ancient Quarry

* The Ancient Building and part of the Ancient Road

* The Holy Church of St. Kosmas and Damianou

* The Prehistoric Settlement at Akrotiri of Ag. Cosmas

In this unique route of cultural interest, spaces open and accessible to all are created with seating, signage, information boards, lighting and planting.

The materials used are ecological, environmentally friendly and ensure safe and comfortable access to the area.

The information signs for each monument have the corresponding informative-explanatory text, lighting and relief Braille system.

LAMDA Development’s plan for the Hellinikon cultural route was approved by the Ministry of Culture.
