Significantly lower electricity tariffs for April were announced by most electricity suppliers following the de-escalation of prices on the Greek Energy exchange and the international market.

In several cases prices are already lower than the target price of 15-16 cents per kilowatt-hour which is the target price after the implementation of government subsidies expected to be announced in the coming days.

The detailed charges for April (indicative commercial programs per supplier) are:

PPC

  • For consumption up to 500 kilowatt hours, 16.5 cents per kilowatt hour (from 19.5 in March)
  • For higher consumption, 17.7 cents per kilowatt hour (from 20.7)
  • Night tariff: 12.4 cents per kilowatt hour (from 15.4).

Protergia: 14 minutes per kilowatt hour,.

Heron Protect: 18.9 cents per kilowatt hour.

Elpedison Economy: 12.5 cents per kilowatt hour daytime charge and 22.33 cents at night (from 19.5 cents per kilowatt hour and 18.83 respectively in February).

NRG: 16.4 minutes per kilowatt hour.

Watt&Volt: at 14 minutes per kilowatt hour.

Volterra: 18.8 minutes per kilowatt hour

Zenith: 11.9 minutes per kilowatt hour (Power Home now program)
