Share prices closed slightly lower in today’s meeting Stock Exchangeas investors proceeded to liquidate short-term profits, after the upward movement of the previous two sessions.

From the high capitalization, the shares of Coca Cola HBC, Motor Oil, Ellactor and PPA supported the market.

O General Price Index closed at 1,044.96 points, down 0.45%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,060.90 units (+1.07%).

The value of transactions amounted to 75.69 million euros, while 27,215,925 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 0.72%, while the mid-cap index edged up marginally at 0.02%.

Of the large capitalization stocks, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Ellactor (+2.81%), Coca Cola HBC (+2.18%), PPA (+1.49%) and Motor Oil (+ 1.45%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of PPC (-2.38%), Jumbo (-2.13%), Sarantis (-2.07%), National National Bank (-1.94%) and Eurobank (-1.93%).

Of the individual indices, the Health (+3.13%) and Food (+2.15%) indices recorded the greatest increase, while the Personal Products (-1.79%) and of Utilities (-1.74%)

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus, trading 11,555,152 and 3,803,202 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Alpha Bank with 13.53 million euros and Mytileneos with 7.98 million euros.

50 stocks advanced, 42 declined and 27 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Sato +14.29% and Attica Bank +9.86%

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Bitros -7.83% and Space Hellas -4.44%.
