The transactions were carried out in a positive atmosphere at today’s meeting Stock Exchange, with the market moving above the levels of 1,040 units, amid upward movement in the European markets as well. The rise of the market is also due to the attempt to “beautify” the valuations in view of the end of the first quarter.

The rise was supported by Goldman Sachs’ estimates of a return to investment grade on April 21 with a possible upgrade of the Greek economy by S&P.

The General Price Index closed at 1,045.84 points, marking an increase of 1.47%.

The value of transactions amounted to 67.51 million euros, while 26,833,376 shares were traded.

The large-cap index gained 1.48%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.62%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Motor Oil (+7.27%), Viohalco (+4.48%), Sarantis (+4.45%), Aegean Airlines (+3 .40%) and Alpha Bank (+3.00%).

On the contrary, GEK TERNA (-1.26%) and Ellactor (-0.25%) shares fell.

Of the individual indices, the Oil (+6.04%) and Raw Materials (+3.92%) indices showed the biggest increase, while only the Financial Services index (-0.16%) saw a small drop.

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 7,739,874 and 5,173,262 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Alpha Bank with 8.73 million euros and Eurobank with 6.36 million euros.

77 stocks moved up, 26 down and 19 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Eliketos +11.54% and VIS +10.49%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Nakas -5.88% and Ktima Lazaridis -2.94%.
