The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses Greece’s strong condemnation of “last night’s terrorist attack in Tel Aviv” in a post on social media.

At the same time, he reiterates our country’s solid solidarity with “its partner”, Israel, and underlines that acts of violence against civilians are reprehensible and must stop.

Also, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its condolences to the family of the victim and to the government of Italy for the loss of the Italian citizen from the attack.

As reported, on Friday at around 21:35 local time (and Greek time) a driver drove his car into pedestrians on a bicycle path on Kaufman Boulevard, a major coastal artery in Tel Aviv, before his vehicle overturned, killing a 36-year-old man . In Rome, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni confirmed that it was Italian citizen Alessandro Parini and expressed her condolences to his family.

According to the same cable, the attack also injured 7 people, while a policeman and members of the municipal security who were nearby killed the driver when they realized he was trying to grab a gun.
