Am’ epos am’ project for AADE which – faithful to its commitments – for about 2 weeks has been activating the tax refunds every week and indeed with spectacular results.

Since March 30, when the platform for submitting tax returns was opened, approximately €5.2 million have been credited to the accounts of 18,184 beneficiaries, who, thinking smartly, rushed to submit them first.

The division yields an average refund amount of €286 which in this case is not so important – every year after all AADE returns close to €400m from income tax – as much as the fact that taxpayers did not have to wait months but got their money immediately.

The data show that of the 23,659 credit statements so far, 18,184 have already been cleared, that is, 3 out of 4. All of them would have been cleared, but the immediate tax refund requires that the taxpayer has no debt either to the tax office or to the insurance funds, nor has his tax awareness been suspended.

It is reminded that as the submission of tax returns will continue, the tax refund that will arise after the liquidation of the ENFIA will be able to be set off with it as well as with any other tax debt. That is why a fast tax refund is in fact an incentive to submit a tax return quickly.

Because then ENFIA comes and gnaws if it doesn’t disappear the money that needs to be returned.

Also, the AADE will set off the income tax debts as a matter of priority with any refunds of other taxes due until July 31 so that the taxpayer does not lose the 3% discount in the case of paying the income tax through set off.

According to information from SKAI in total, AADE in the first quarter of the year returned €1.72 billion, 39% more than the budget estimates, indicating that tax refunds in general have picked up speed.

Regarding the rate of submission of tax returns, the latest figures show that 110,267 have been submitted. From these :

55% are zero

25% are debited

20% are credit

From the analysis of the data, it appears that the average tax so far is €725, while the average refund amount is €432.
