At least 19 categories of civil servants may begin to paralyze activities to increase pressure against the government for salary increases, after President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) signaled that only police officers would be served in 2022.
Fonacate (Permanent National Forum for Typical State Careers) states that unions in these categories support their workers to suspend work in three days — on January 18, 25 and 26 (calendar approved by Fonacate on December 29).
Assemblies still need to be held in the coming days to confirm the adhesions, which is expected in most cases by the forum’s leaders. In addition to the already planned outages, the servers will discuss a possible strike in February.
According to a survey by Fonacate, discussions about stoppages involve Internal Revenue auditors, Central Bank employees, CVM (Securities Commission) employees, auditors and technicians from the CGU (General Controllership of the Union) and the National Treasury, SUSEP employees. (Superintendence of Private Insurance), labor auditors, intelligence officers and officials from regulatory agencies.
Foreign trade analysts, Itamaraty employees, IPEA (Institute for Applied Economic Research), federal public defenders, specialists in public policies and government management, federal agricultural tax auditors, federal agrarian experts, in addition to Legislative employees are also part of the list. , the Judiciary and the TCU (Union Court of Auditors).
In some cases, the suspension of work is already confirmed.
Fábio Faiad, president of Sinal (National Union of Central Bank Employees), said that the strike of the category is maintained on the 18th, from 10 am to 12 pm.
The decision to maintain the suspension of work was taken after representatives of the entity met this Tuesday (11) with the president of BC, Roberto Campos Neto, and left without a concrete promise of readjustment.
In the meantime, says Faiad, the mobilization is advancing with the delivery of positions. “Adherence to the lists of non-assumption of commissions and delivery of commissions in the BC is already close to 2,000 servers, even though it is a vacation month”, he says.
Possible substitutes will also be invited to join, giving up replacing the holders.
According to Faiad, the objective of the mobilization in the BC is that the salary readjustment is not exclusive to the federal police, but that it also extends to the civil servants of the autarchy. In addition, they call for the restructuring of the careers of BC analysts and technicians.
They hope that, in January, there will be a new meeting with the president of the BC in which a concrete proposal will be presented. “Otherwise, we will start debating the strike proposal for an indefinite period”, says Faiad.
Assemblies are already scheduled to discuss joining the strikes.
This Wednesday (12), a virtual meeting of Unacon (which represents auditors and federal finance and control technicians) is scheduled to discuss the suspension of work.
On Friday (14), the other entities of Fonasefe (Forum of National Entities of Federal Public Servants) will deliberate on the participation, but the interlocutors already indicate that there will be adhesion.
Fonasefe brings together 30 entities, such as employees in the health, pension and social assistance areas.
Together, these forums (Fonacate and Fonasefe), according to the leadership of these organizations, represent more than 80% of the federal executive’s staff, which today has approximately 585,000 active members.
In addition to the salary tariff, the civil servants intend to demonstrate dissatisfaction with other aspects of their relationship with the government.
Univisa (Association of Employees of the National Health Surveillance Agency), for example, released a document this week saying it will discuss joining the strike and demanding “enough is enough for the government’s attacks on institutional prerogatives and the honor of servers and managers”. .
“We, servants and those who fulfill our functional attributions, will not passively accept the destruction of this regulatory agency,” the entity said in a statement.
Bolsonaro recently made statements in which he raises suspicions about Anvisa’s interest in approving vaccines.
He was answered by the director-president of Anvisa, Antonio Barra Torres, who charged Bolsonaro to determine an investigation, if he has information in this regard, or a retraction.
“If you have information that raises the slightest indication of corruption on this Brazilian, don’t waste time or prevaricate, Mr. President. Determine an immediate police investigation into my person,” wrote the agency’s president-director.
“Now, if you don’t have such information or evidence, exercise the greatness that your position demands and, by the God you cite so much, retract,” added Barra Torres, who has a term of office until 2024 and cannot be fired by the President.
