Renata, who had already paid for the dispatch of five bags weighing 23 kilos each, had to pay a new price for three bags, which were not recognized by Latam. The company re-accommodated her on a flight that would leave Guarulhos at 6:50 am this Wednesday (12).

Arriving in Guarulhos on Tuesday night, around 9 pm, Renata looked for the Latam counter to find out about overnight accommodation for the family, but found the space empty. He asked an employee for information, who paid him no attention. The entire family’s luggage had already been dispatched to their final destination.

On their own, Renata and her family went to a hotel near the Guarulhos airport. The next morning they arrived at 5:20 am for check-in and another disappointment: the flight had been canceled yet again. Now, Latam has offered accommodation in another hotel for the family, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“We waited more than four hours at the airport until we got to the hotel”, says Renata. “The flight has been rescheduled for this Thursday [13], at 6:50 am. Hopefully this time we can finally get on board.”

Having to spend another day in transit, without luggage, Renata and her family had to go shopping for clothes and toiletries this Wednesday.

“I had to go back to work this Thursday (13), I have to enroll in the children’s college to get it right, and on top of that we lost our ride from Imperatriz to Araguaína”, she says. “It was just an inconvenience.”

Azul and Latam add up to almost a thousand canceled flights so far
