Around 190,000 taxpayers have missed their 120 installment settlement and have the opportunity to rejoin – 368.73 million debts already settled by 20,550 taxpayers
Two more months deadline have those debtors who meet the conditions for inclusion in the debt arrangements to do so, taking advantage of the favorable framework that has been established and which concerns exclusively those who lost the old arrangements of 72 and 120 installments, within the period that the financial crisis lasted, but also those who, while holding for the same period of time the arrangements were alive, however they created new debts.
In the last 10 days, the rate of integration – reintegration into this framework has increased and now their number exceeds 20,500 debtors, who have settled a total debt of almost 370 million euros.
Officials of the Ministry of Finance report that this rate will increase as the deadline for joining the regulations approaches and they believe that by July 31 when the relevant deadline expires, a significant number of taxpayers will have joined the arrangements.
According to the data of the Ministry of Finance taxpayers who have lost the 120 installment arrangement and have the opportunity to rejoin number 190,000 while approximately 10,000 are the debtors who lost the pandemic regulation of 36-72 installments until February 1, 2023.
What is planned for the revival of 72 to 120 installments, as well as the new arrangement for debts created in the financial crisis:
– Revival of 72 and 120 doses: Those who lost the old arrangements by February 1, 2023 have the possibility to regain them by submitting an application by July 31, 2023 and paying two installments. In the event that they have left unpaid taxes in order to be able to join the old arrangements, they must, within one month of the validation of the revival, include the unregulated debts in the permanent arrangement of 24 or 48 installments. The specific debtors will have all the benefits of the arrangements, such as e.g. release of bank accounts, suspension of confiscations, etc.
– New setting of 36 or 72 doses: Taxpayers who, on November 1, 2021, did not have overdue and unregulated debts, and at the same time paid all the installments of the arrangements of 120 or 36/72 installments, if they had such arrangements, can join the arrangement with an application submitted by July 31, 2023.
The regulation covers debts that became overdue after November 1, 2021 to February 1, 2023, while the minimum amount of the monthly installment amounts to 30 euros.
In addition, debtors who created overdue debts in the period from November 1, 2021 to February 1, 2023 and have already included them in the fixed arrangement of 24 or 48 installments, have the possibility to subject them to the new arrangement of 36/ 72 doses.
Also in the event that on November 1, 2021, there are settled debts in the fixed arrangement of 24 or 48 installments which were subsequently lost and at the same time new debts were confirmed, after November 1, 2021, then these new debts can be included in the new arrangement of 36 or 72 installments and at the same time, within a month of the new debts being included in the new arrangement, the old debts must be settled with the fixed arrangement of 24 or 48 installments.
