Opinion – Vinicius Torres Freire: Bolsonaro coup puts out wings and gives clues to the electoral campaign

Last week, Jair Bolsonaro said again that they stole his votes in 2018 – his victory would have occurred in the first round, if the elections were “clean”. He returned to attack ministers of the Federal Supreme Court. He said that Alexandre de Moraes and Luís Barroso are Lulas.

Aside from very crazy measures, Bolsonaro will not have much else to do on the so-called “economic” electoral front. The pace of economic growth and inflation are out of your control; at best, we will have GDP stagnation and inflation rate halving, but with an unbearably high price level.

The main interest is to keep alive at least part of the fires of hell that brought him to power in 2018.

He often spoke of the knife again. He attacked the fairness of the electoral system, it should be noted, committing more crimes. Moraes and Barroso are slowly moving the inquiries into these lies, dealt with in the Penal Code and the impeachment law.

It is an indication that he will appeal to the worst feelings and ignorance to keep what is left of his electorate with him.

On the political front, he gave Ciro Nogueira more power to direct there or there fat sweets from the Budget. Nogueira is minister of the Civil House, licensed president of the PP, cardinal, therefore, of the center and must be one of Bolsonaro’s campaign coordinators. The platform will be paid for with pigtails from the Budget.

Bolsonaro still wants to find a way to readjust federal police salaries until the middle of the year. It does not yield votes and, if there is an increase, it will roll with servers, perhaps counterproductive. But he wants to keep the loyalty of part of that troop. For what?

The arsenal of craziness can guarantee a presence in the second round, a survival to disrupt the election as much as possible.
