Stock prices closed slightly higher in the last session of the week, with the market moving against the bearish climate of the European markets.

The General Price Index closed at 1,268.71 points, marking an increase of 0.45%. Intra-session recorded a higher price at 1,273.70 units (+0.84%)

On a weekly basis the main stock market index fell 0.69%, since the beginning of June it has gained 4.11%, while since the beginning of 2023 it has recorded gains of 36.45%.

The value of the transactions amounted to 130.69 million euros, while 43,494,258 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.37%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.99%.

Of the large-cap stocks, the biggest gains were recorded by the shares of Viohalco (+2.74%), Alpha Bank (+1.90%), Sarantis (+1.46%) and Eurobank (+1.36 %).

On the contrary, the biggest drop was recorded by the shares of Ethniki (-1.71%), Ellaktor (-0.43%) and OPAP (-0.31%).

Of the individual indices, the Financial Services (+2.04%) and Raw Materials (+1.66%) indices recorded the greatest increase, while the Trade indices (-0.46%) and of Travel (-0.15%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus with 21,271,113 and 5,323,905 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Alpha Bank with 32.20 million euros and Piraeus with 14.92 million euros.

60 stocks advanced, 40 declined and 22 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Sato +8.70% and Mathios Pyrimaha +6.67%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: VIS -9.94% and Bitros -9.80%.
