Globo actress Mary Sheila, known for work in soap operas like “They for them” and “all the flowers,” said she suffered racism while shopping in one of the world supermarket stores in Rio de Janeiro. According to her, one of the establishment’s security guards discredited that she would have money to pay for the goods. Mary Sheila is black.

Through social networks, she told more about the episode. “We have the most back, more black skin. We go to the market and the security thinks that people have no money to pay our purchases,” lamented in a video posted on Instagram.

“The citizen has the right to do his work, but he cannot embarrass the other, right? We have to be educated,” amended the artist.

In another video published on his profile, Mary said she received a lot of support over the internet and thanked. It also gave more details about the case. The actress was accompanied in the market of two daughters and her husband.

“Black family is a situation of hazardousness,” he said. “As soon as I arrived, I went to the meat industry where a security guard is. I put the meats on my cart and he went around and going after me. That’s normal? Normal would it be after everyone. He just stopped chasing me when I paid,” he said.

Subsequently, the actress countered criticism. “I’m not a mimizage, right is right. That’s what I get tired of talking. The guy has the right to do his job, but can’t bother the customer. I’m not going back. I’m out! Everything is very expensive to be embarrassed.”

Sought, the World Supermarket did not respond on the alleged case of racism until the publication of this text.
