Caixa pays Aid Brasil and gas vouchers starting this Tuesday

The payment of Auxílio Gás and Auxílio Brasil starts this Tuesday (18) across the country. Withdrawals can be made at Caixa Econômica Federal branches and self-service terminals, in addition to lottery and banking correspondents. The amount can also be used to pay for purchases and bills, through the Caixa Tem app.

In 2022, the payment of the two benefits will follow the same schedule, which varies according to the final number of the NIS (Social Identification Number). This Tuesday, beneficiaries who have NIS ending in 1 receive. Deposits in January will continue until the 31st. Payment of the Auxílio Brasil, which has a minimum amount of R$ 400, is monthly and the Auxílio Gás, in the amount of 52 per family will be paid every two months to selected families.

According to the Ministry of Citizenship, 5.58 million families will receive aid for the purchase of gas. About 108,000 families living in the 100 municipalities of Bahia and Minas Gerais that declared a state of calamity because of the rains received the amount in advance, on December 27.

According to the ministry, 3.06 million families were included in Auxílio Brasil in January, which now totals 17.5 million participating homes. In São Paulo, 482,000 families will receive the benefit as of this Tuesday. The state has 2.1 million families covered, says the ministry.

How to withdraw and move the benefits

The amounts from Auxilio Brasil and the gas voucher can be withdrawn and moved online in a similar way. Cards and passwords used to withdraw Auxílio Brasil can be used to receive Auxílio Gás, Caixa informed.

Withdrawals with the program card can be made at self-service terminals and Caixa branches, lottery and Caixa Aqui correspondents (companies hired by the financial institution to provide banking services on its behalf). In the last two, in addition to the benefit card, it is necessary to present an identification document.

If you choose to withdraw using the Caixa Tem app, the beneficiary must generate a code (called a token). To do this, you must select the option “withdrawal without card” in the application. Then you must click on “generate code for withdrawal”. The code is valid for one hour and can also be used to withdraw money from ATMs, agencies, lottery shops or correspondent banking units.

If you prefer not to withdraw the money, the beneficiary can use the Caixa Tem app to make purchases in establishments such as markets and pharmacies using the virtual debit card or QR Code function. In the app and in the lottery, it is also possible to pay gas, water, electricity, telephone and various bills with the value of the benefits.

To find out if the Auxílio Brasil installment is available, the beneficiary can consult the Caixa Tem app or the Auxílio Brasil app. The consultation can also be made by telephone 111, with the CPF or NIS number.

Cash payment method

Caixa deposits payments in the digital social savings account, automatically opened on behalf of those responsible for the family and accessed through the Caixa Tem app. The amount can also be deposited by the bank in the registered Caixa Fácil savings account, which does not allow withdrawals with the program card or movement of values ​​through the Caixa Tem application. Payment can also be made directly available for withdrawal with the social card.

Auxílio Brasil, a substitute for Bolsa Família, is intended for families in poverty or extreme poverty, composed of pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, children and young people under 21 years of age. The registered families were selected by the Ministry of Citizenship.

Auxílio-Gás was created by Law nº 14,237, in November, to help low-income families in the purchase of cooking gas. There is no inscription. Families that meet the criteria are selected by the Ministry of Citizenship. Preference is given to families with women victims of domestic violence, who are being monitored by urgent protective measures.
