Stock prices closed slightly lower in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, in the midst of a downward trend in the European markets.

The market corrected after six bullish sessions, during which the main stock index registered a total gain of 5.35%.

The General Price Index closed at 1,295.30 points, down 0.34%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a lower price at 1,287.64 units (-0.93%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 86.05 million euros, while 23,996,117 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 0.53%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.06%.

Of the large capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Sarantis (+2.13%), Elvalhalcor (+1.90%), Aegean (+1.23%) and PPA (+1.13 %).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of OTE (-3.03%), Mytileneos (-1.95%), Ellactor (-1.86%), Lamda (-1.30%) and Motor Oil (-1.02%).

OTE shares were traded today without the right to the dividend amounting to 0.58878 euros per share.

Of the individual indices, the Health (+2.08%) and Raw Materials (+0.93%) indices recorded the greatest increase, while the Telecommunications (-3.03%) and of Industrial Products (-1.62%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus with 6,871,213 and 3,265,580 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by National Bank with 10.94 million euros and Alpha Bank with 10.36 million euros.

51 stocks moved up, 55 down and 19 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Ilyda +15.87% and Domiki Kritis +14.29%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Tria ‘Alfa (k) -7.37% and Moda Bango -5.48%.
