The founder of the Russian mercenary organization Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, had weapons seized from him on the day of the mutiny he organized, during searches of his own structures in St. Petersburg, including the offices of the mercenary organization Wagner and the offices of the media group “Patriot”.

According to the St. Petersburg website Fontanka.ru, Prigozhin, who is based in Belarus, himself visited the FSB headquarters in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region to collect his own assets, among including a Glock pistol he had received as a prize from Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

Two “Saiga” carbines, a short-barreled Austrian Steyr Mannlicher carbine, an ARka semi-automatic rifle and some handguns and pistols were also returned to him, as well as 10 billion rubles which had also been seized, the St. Petersburg website said.

It is reported that as soon as the procedure for receiving the seized weapons and money was completed, Prigozhin immediately left the territory of the Russian Federation.
