Downward trends were registered by stock prices in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, with the market falling below 1,280 points, amid a negative climate in the European markets, which is shaped by the weak economic data announced by the largest economies.

The General Price Index closed at 1,279.40 points, down 1.23%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a lower price at 1,274.23 points (-1.63%). The value of the transactions amounted to 80.12 million euros, while 20,135,590 shares were traded. The large-cap index fell 1.35%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.25%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Quest Participations (+1.27%), Ellactor (+1.05%) and ELPE (+0.52%). On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Terna Energy (-2.96%), Coca Cola HBC (-2.69%), Motor Oil (-2.40%), OPAP (-2.17% ) and Viohalco (-1.99%).

Of the individual indices, the Health (+1.98%) and Financial Services (+0.54%) indices recorded the greatest increase, while the Food (-2.67%) and Travel (-2.14%). The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank with 4,992,652 and 3,148,163 shares, respectively.

OTE recorded the highest transaction value with 8.32 million euros and Piraeus with 8.19 million euros.

44 stocks moved up, 66 down and 14 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Mathios Pyrimaha +13.27% and Leventeris (k) +7.46%.

The largest decline was registered by the shares: Xylemporia (p) -12.79% and Leventeris (p) -9.68%.
