Hatzidakis to SKAI for minimum wage: The decision on the amount of the increase in April

by

By the end of January, EFKA will have closed all the outstanding pensions from 2018 and before, while by the end of February, the cases that are pending before 2019 will have been closed, stressed the Minister of Labor, Kostis Hatzidakis, on SKAI and the Kalimera show.

He also noted that 97.5% of the retrospectives have been given

Mr. Hatzidakis made it known that last year 225 thousand outstanding pensions were given, something that is a record of all times.

He typically stated that in 2019, 123 thousand calm pensions were given.

He announced that in the coming months the digital version of disability pensions and the digital version of private sector pensions will be implemented – through the Atlas system

Referring to the EFKA call center, he stated that since the beginning of August, more than 1 million answered calls have been recorded.
Mr. Hatzidakis also announced an internal control unit to EFKA headed by a supreme judge, who will substantially control the complaints. As he characteristically mentioned, we have 1200 pending complaints, something that is not conceivable.

He noted that employees who do their job well should be rewarded but at the same time those who do not do well should be checked.

Referring to the minimum wage, he said that the cabinet will decide at the end of April on the amount of the increase.

He noted that a small symbolic increase was made last year and now that the economy is on a recovery trajectory, this will be reflected in workers’ pockets.

However, the minister stressed that since the beginning of the ND government with the reduction of taxes and insurance contributions, those who receive the minimum wage receive 305-533 more euros per year, which means a 4-5.5% increase.
