Henrique Meirelles defined the date of his departure from the João Doria government. He announced that he will leave the São Paulo State Finance and Planning Secretariat at the end of February.
The landing, to follow his plan to run for the Senate for Goiás, takes place about a month before the deadline for deincompatibility from public office established by the TSE (Superior Electoral Court).
The former finance minister and former president of the Central Bank will remain in the group responsible for coordinating Doria’s presidential campaign.
