Stock prices recorded a strong recovery in today’s session, with the market covering Friday’s significant losses by closing above the 1,280 level. From the high capitalization, the shares of PPA, Piraeus, Alpha Bank and Jumbo outperformed.

The General Price Index closed at 1,285.27 points, marking an increase of 1.74%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,294.71 units (+2.48%).

The value of transactions amounted to 108.16 million euros, while 25,014,934 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 1.95%, while the mid-cap index gained 1.60%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of PPA (+5.97%), Piraeus (+4.72%), Alpha Bank (+4.17%), Jumbo (+3.92 %), of Ethniki (+3.23%) and Elvalhalcor (+3.17%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Sarantis (-2.69%), Ellactor (-2.09%) and OTE (-1.81%).

Of the individual indices, the largest increase was recorded by the indices of Financial Services (+3.92%), Personal Products (+3.77%) and Banks (+3.10%), while the largest losses were recorded by the indices of Telecommunications (-1.78%) and Constructions (-0.51%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Attica Holdings, trading 4,593,125 and 3,984,640 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by Jumbo with 18.03 million euros and Piraeus with 11.23 million euros.

80 stocks moved up, 27 fell and 15 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Centric +8.68% and Intertec +8.52%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Bitros Participations -9.76% and Eliketos -9.68%.
