The IC56 train, which operated the Athens -Thessaloniki route, was stopped near Sindos Railway Station at 23:05 on Wednesday night, with 103 passengers, due to power outage.

Technical staff of the Infrastructure Administrator (OSE) went to the point for the restoration of the problem. After repairing the damage to electricity, the train departed for Thessaloniki with a delay of 67 minutes.

Compensations:

Hellenic Train also informs that under European Regulation 2021/782, trainers can be compensated with 25% of their ticket value, in the following ways:

– Tickets issued by ticket offices and paid in cash are only compensated by active ticket offices.

– Ticket holders who have been purchased with card, regardless of sales channel (ticket offices, webticketing & app) can:

– Either contact a station to compensate the ticket.

– Either send a written request to the company through the complaints/requests form with the ticket number, if it is electronic, or attach the PDF of the ticket or a clear photo if it is a publication, requesting the price, which will be returned to the card used to buy it.
