by

Nova Engevix is preparing to enter the solar energy market with the construction of a photovoltaic plant in Janaúba (MG). Located 550 kilometers north of Belo Horizonte, the small municipality is currently one of the largest solar energy investment hubs in the country.

The project, carried out in partnership with the construction company Ferreira Guedes and KPE Engenharia, involves an investment of around R$ 235 million and a power of 356 MWp, according to the company.

The venture is another step in the energy market in the new phase of the group after Lava Jato, which led to a name change, reorganization and business scaling.

The company, which already had experience in the past in the construction of wind farms and engineering design and feasibility studies for a photovoltaic plant in Sergipe, intends to expand its activities in the construction of projects in the solar sector.

On the horizon, the São Roque hydroelectric plant, in the final stage of construction in Santa Catarina, also has plans to expand with solar in a hybrid plant.
