Venizelos to Mitsotaki for Novartis: You have no right to separate persons by party criteria

by

Evangelos Venizelos left tips for the current position of Kyriakos Mitsotakis regarding the filing of the Novartis case during his speech in Parliament, noting that he failed to talk about the PASOK executives who were at the center of the conspiracy.

Addressing Mr. Tsipras, Mr. Mitsotakis urged him – speaking on behalf of his party, as he stressed – to apologize to the politicians who became the target of the “Novartis conspiracy”. He mentioned as such the former prime ministers Antonis Samaras and Panagiotis Pikrammenos and the ministers Dimitris Avramopoulos, Adonis Georgiadis, Andreas Lykourentzos and Mario Salmas. He did not mention the name of the Governor of the Bank of Greece, Giannis Stournara, former ministers Andreas Loverdou and George Koutroumanis and mine as former Deputy Prime Minister and former President of PASOK because obviously we do not belong to his party “, he noted.

He went on to stress that “when the Prime Minister refers to the Parliament in a conspiracy that aimed at the smooth functioning of the Republic through the humiliation of Justice, he has no right to separate the persons who were targeted by party criteria. The only criterion is institutional. ”

“Mr. Mitsotakis should have made it clear that he is defending the institutions and not members of his party,” he concluded.
