The process of submitting applications for first aid by those affected by the earthquake of September 27 in the Region of Crete reopens, after the publication in the Official Gazette (Government Gazette BD 293, 295, 298) of the Joint Decisions of the Ministers of Finance, Development, Interior, Territory, Infrastructure and Transport and Rural Development. In this context, the electronic platform arogi.gov.gr reopens for the submission of applications for inclusion in the support measures, or the modification of the already submitted applications.
In particular, as announced by the Ministry of Finance, an application or modification (change of requested amount or revocation) of the already submitted application, on the platform arogi.gov.gr can be submitted:
(a) by undertakings for an advance against a subsidy for damage to equipment and means of production;
(b) by natural persons for compensation for household goods; and
(c) by building owners for an advance payment for housing assistance.
Therefore, they can apply:
(a) earthquake victims who have not been able to complete their application due to procedural issues relating to changes in their declaration of immovable property due to post-earthquake inheritance arrangements;
(b) earthquake victims, who wish to update or revise (even withdraw) their application after the completion of the inspection by the competent services of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, and
(c) affected by the earthquake, who failed to submit an application during the two application phases on the platform and wish to submit, after the completion of the inspection by the competent services of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
Along with the application for housing assistance or household goods, applicants submit the relevant cards / documents from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. These documents should be submitted by those beneficiaries who had submitted an application without it being accompanied by the relevant documents.
At the same time, the process for the payment of the beneficiaries continues, depending on the cross-checking process of the required documents for rapid autopsy or re-inspection by the competent services of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. For applications that have already been submitted and there are problems in the intersection of the relevant data, the applicants will be informed about a personalized message from AADE.
In addition, the Joint Decisions of the Ministers of Finance, Development and Investment, Interior, State, Infrastructure and Transport, Rural Development and Food were published in the Government Gazette (Government Gazette BD 292, 296, 297), which provide the opportunity to those affected. from the summer fires and have already submitted an application to be included in the support measures of the fire victims, through the platform arogi.gov.gr, to modify their application (reduction of requested amount or revocation).
It is noted that the one-time emergency first aid for housing assistance is granted in exchange for housing assistance to the owners, in full or in part, of commercial buildings, houses and other non-professional buildings, damaged by the earthquake on September 20 or 27. summer fires.
The owner then has to apply to the relevant department of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, accompanied by the required relevant file, for the restoration of the building, in order to be eligible for housing assistance (free state aid and interest-free loan) for its repair or reconstruction damaged building (depending on the characterization of the building as repairable or dangerously dilapidated, due to the damage it has suffered), with the issuance of the required administrative acts, in accordance with the relevant joint decisions of the Ministers of Finance, Development and Investment and Infrastructure Transport, for the demarcation of the affected areas and the provision of housing assistance.
Accordingly, the one-off emergency first aid against a grant is granted as a counter-grant to a non-profit corporation which has its registered office or branch and operates lawfully in areas which have been materially damaged and materially damaged. , which were caused by the earthquake of September 27, 2021 or the fires of summer.
Then, all the necessary information must be submitted to the state aid committees of the Region, in order to carry out an assessment and recording of the losses and to send the relevant statements to the Ministry of Finance, in accordance with the procedures of law 4797/2021.
The amount of the first aid against housing assistance is set off against the final amount of housing assistance to be determined by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, while the amount of the first aid against a business compensation grant is set off against the amount of the grant as determined by Ministry of Finance after the recording of losses by the state aid committees.
It is also pointed out that – both for the first aid against housing assistance and for the first aid against subsidy, but also for the first aid for household compensation – in case the recipient of the aid is not finally considered a beneficiary or the amount he is entitled to is less , the return of the total amount or the excess amount to the State is provided. Respectively, in case of a false declaration, the amount of the aid is returned to the State and the procedures provided for such cases are initiated.
The deadline for submitting or amending applications is February 14th.
