INSS experts threaten another two-day strike

by

INSS medical experts announced that they will make another two-day stoppage next week if demands from the category are not met. The professionals paralyzed activities on Monday (31), causing the rescheduling of about 25,000 scheduled forensic examinations, according to figures from the ANPM (National Association of Medical Experts). The association estimates that the mobilization had adhesion of 90% of the career servers this Monday.

Workers without income and who were waiting for the expertise to receive benefits or to return to work were informed at INSS agencies that the consultation would be rescheduled to mid-February.

Expertise is required for benefits such as sick pay, accident aid, pensions for permanent incapacity or disability and BPC (Continued Benefit Benefit) for people with disabilities in a situation of social vulnerability.

Those who were not served due to the stoppage of activities must have the expertise rescheduled by the INSS itself and informed about the new schedule by noon of the day following the canceled service, according to INSS Ordinance No. 922, published in September.

The INSS informed that its employees would make the reschedules at the agency itself and that the insured can confirm the new date and time of his expertise by calling 135 or through the website or application Meu INSS.

The agency also informed that “there will be no financial losses for the insured” due to the cancellations, that is, if the expertise confirms that there is a right to the disability benefit, the retroactive amounts due and in arrears will be paid. However, depending on the date on which the new service is rescheduled, this represents more waiting time until the payment is released.

The main demand of the category so that it does not make a new stoppage is to hold a face-to-face meeting with Minister Onyx Lorenzoni to discuss topics such as salary readjustment of about 20%.

The experts demand a contest to fill 3,000 vacancies, equal distribution of appointments between professionals in the morning and afternoon shifts, the right to holidays and recesses without appointments and the end of spaces in the agenda without appointments.

The entity said that, at a meeting of professionals held on the night of this Monday, it was agreed that the next steps of the mobilization include the adoption of a new measure that exempts them from carrying out professional activities to compensate for the lack of insured persons in scheduled appointments or empty spaces on the agenda. .
