The Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis is going to Luxembourg, where he will participate in the Eurogroup and ECOFIN meetings.

Today, the Eurogroup meeting will be held, where the agenda includes a discussion on the Transatlantic Economic Dialogue, in the presence of the US Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen. The future of European capital markets, the digital euro, the contribution of the growth and resilience plans to the achievement of the economic priorities of the eurozone and the results of the Annual Meeting of the IMF held in Marrakesh will also be discussed.

The ECOFIN meeting will be held on Tuesday, with the main topic of discussion being the reform of economic governance rules. The agenda also includes an update on the implementation path of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, a discussion on the economic impact of the war in Ukraine and coordination of European positions ahead of the 28th United Nations Climate Conference (COPS28), to be held in Dubai.

On the sidelines of the meetings, Mr. Hatzidakis will have meetings with European officials.
