Panel SA: Anac repeats 2020 measure to protect aviation professional in new wave of Covid

by

Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency) decided this Tuesday (1st) to extend the validity period of qualifications and certificates for aviation professionals by 60 days. According to the agency, the measure has to do with the new wave of the pandemic and can help preserve the health of servers in the face of the increase in Covid cases.

The extension applies to documents due between January and February. It also covers authorizations, endorsements, training and operational examinations of workers.

According to the resolution, which will be published this week, air operators must provide Anac with a list of professionals benefiting from the measure.

The agency had already adopted a similar measure in September 2020, when it extended the deadline by 120 days.

In January of this year, the agency complied with the request of the main Brazilian airlines and allowed the reduction of the number of flight attendants to circumvent the embezzlement in the teams.
