Stock prices closed marginally lower in today’s Stock Exchange sessionas they lost their initial gains caused by the upgrade of the Greek economy by the rating agency S&P, but also the announcement of the important agreement between Alpha Bank and thw Unicredit.

The market’s initial momentum was hampered by the negative international environment with the 10-year US Treasury yield above 5%, the first time in 16 years.

The Stock Exchange temporarily suspended trading of Alpha Bank’s shares until the necessary clarifications are provided by the Financial Stability Fund (HFS) regarding the terms of its divestment process.

The General Price Index closed at 1,173.70 points, down 0.10%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,189.52 units (+1.24%) and a lower price at 1,171.99 units (-0.25%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 98.49 million euros, while 28,229,850 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell marginally at 0.06%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.11%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Jumbo (+4.71%), GEK TERNA (+1.69%) and Titan (+1.07%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was registered by the shares of Quest Participations (-2.50%), Sarantis (-2.34%), Motor Oil (-2.28%), Ellaktor (-2.02%), of Lamda (-1.98%), Terna Energy (-1.87%) and OTE (-1.86%).

Of the individual indices, the Personal Products (+4.245) and Financial Services (+1.64%) indices showed the greatest increase, while the Oil (-2.07%) and Telecommunications ( -1.85%).

Piraeus and Eurobank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 10,598,844 and 3,640,153 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by Piraeus with 30.35 million euros and National with 13.81 million euros.

49 stocks moved up, 56 down and 11 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Kecrops +14.75% and Lanakam +12.94%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Epilectos -9.91% and Vogiatzoglou Systems -7.08%.
