The subsidy amounts of 1,283,920.84 euros were paid to 676 beneficiaries of the “Move Electric 2” Program by the Ministry of Environment and Energy with the completion of the procedures by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, as a priority for its political leadership is quick service to citizens.

At the same time, in the framework of optimal utilization of the available funds of “Move Electric 2”in the previous days, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, funds amounting to 550,000 euros were released and redistributed to citizens, which related to approved applications that were not completed within the time frame provided by the program.

The process of evaluating and reviewing applications will continue rapidlyin order to release additional resources from inactive applications, but at the same time to issue affiliation decisions, as well as decisions to pay the public expenditure to the beneficiaries.

The competent Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christina Alexopoulou, in her statement states: “We are faced with a pleasant problem. The available funds of “Moving Electric 2”, amounting to 65 million euros, have been committed in their entirety and this shows the correct policy followed by the Government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the field of electric mobility. Our goal is to quickly serve all citizens who have applied and committed subsidy amounts to purchase an electric vehicle. Every day, we free funds that citizens will not use and re-freeze them for those with proven interest. In this way, in the next period of time, “Moving Electric 2″ will continue to support with subsidies the penetration of electric mobility in our country until it is succeeded by the new phase of the program. It is our commitment that the enhancement of electric mobility will continue to be subsidized in the coming years.”
