The government’s “Permanent Price Reduction” initiative continues to have a great response.

The Ministry of Development announces that until November 13, 2023 the products participating in the initiative were a total of 770. It is noted that the initial target of 500 codes has been far exceeded with a reduction of at least 5% on supermarket shelves for at least six months.

These products concern 37 basic categories, while so far 62 companies have responded.

The Minister of Development, Kostas Skrekas, said: “The ‘Permanent Price Reduction’ initiative is getting more and more response. This fact satisfies us but we are not complacent. We have far exceeded our original goal. We resolutely continue our effort to support our households and vulnerable fellow citizens, fighting every day with precision. At the same time, we continue the intensive controls to crack down on profiteering. The government consistently stands by the citizens”.
