The Ministry of Labor and Social Security is gradually proceeding with the payment of special compensations to employees of businesses, which were affected by the fires and floods of the previous months.
In particular, as stated in the relevant announcement, on Friday, November 10, 2023, an amount of 1,540,608.00 euros was paid, special purpose compensation for a total of 4,528 payments.
Specifically, to eligible employees of businesses affected by fires special purpose compensation corresponding to the months of July, August and September 2023 was paid and the eligible employees of businesses affected by the floods were paid special purpose compensation for the month of September 2023.
In addition, on Friday, November 17, 2023, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security plans to pay the beneficiaries of special purpose compensation-employees of businesses, affected by fires and floods, for the month of October, in the amount of 957,216.00 euros. This is a total of 2,153 beneficiary payments.
The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Adonis Georgiadis, he said: “The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has paid all the beneficiaries of the 534 euro allowance for the month of September and will pay all the beneficiaries of the month of October next Friday. If there are any of our fellow citizens who have applied and have not been paid the amount of compensation, they should search in the relevant district why their TIN has been deemed ineligible and has not been sent in the prescribed manner to the Ministry of Labour.
