Next Wednesday, December 6, farmers’ accounts will be credited with the Refund of the Excise Duty on diesel engine oil (DIESEL) used exclusively in agriculture.

According to a briefing given by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Lefteris Avgenakis to the members of the parliamentary group and to the agricultural officials of the ND at the headquarters of the party, the payment will be made by the AADE and the exact amount that will be paid to a total of 297,428 professionals farmers amounts to 76 million euros.

At the same time, during the briefing, Mr. Avgenakis presented the actions and the upcoming initiatives that will be taken by the ministry.

It is noted that according to the Official Gazette published a few days ago, beneficiaries of a refund of the special consumption tax on diesel fuel (DIESEL) for engines, which is used exclusively in agriculture, are the natural persons who have submitted a Single Support Application (SSR) for the years 2022 and 2023, have been registered in the Register of Farmers and Agricultural Holdings (MAAE) from 1 January 2023 until 31 October 2023 and have been assigned the status of “professional farmer” or “professional farmer as a new entrant in the agricultural sector».

Finally, the quantities of motor oil, for which the EFFK is refunded for the year 2023, per beneficiary, are calculated, based on the amount of motor oil determined to be required for the execution of any type of work related to a crop or group of crops as well as in each category or type of livestock and correspond to 50% of the maximum amounts of motor oil determined by the mechanical employment (energy required) indicators.
