“The whole store is a holiday basket, we don’t need to make a Christmas basket, because all prices are reduced from 20% to 30%” noted Mr. Skrekas
A large toy store in Rentis was visited in the morning by the Minister of Development Kostas Skrekas, which found lower prices than last year. As the manager of the store mentioned, the lower prices compared to last year are due to lower production and transportation costs that were passed on to the consumer.
“The whole store is a holiday basket no need to make a Christmas basket, because all prices are reduced from 20% to 30%” noted Mr. Skrekas.
“First of all, we have the holiday basket, so that households can have their holiday table, with the essentials to spend beautiful holidays. Today, here in a large store that sells, in addition to toys, ornaments, trees and lights, we see that the prices are reduced by an average of 20%, we have reductions that reach 30%, as we saw, for example, in the lights that from 29.99 euros have reduced to 19.99, i.e. we have a 10 euro reduction for 500 bulbs. This means that the prices have come down, so now it seems that it is not necessary to have a Christmas basket for decorations, because the prices are much reduced compared to last year,” said the minister. However, he clarified that “we will examine it together with the companies, we will discusssince we deem it necessary to create such a basket…”.
He also made it clear that there will definitely be a festive basket for the Christmas table. “We will announce which nutritional products will be included, they will be the products that everyone wants, it will be beef, pork, turkey or Christmas” emphasized Mr. Skrekas.
“The basket it should start in the next two weeks” he emphasized.
