PIS is paid by Caixa Econômica Federal. According to the bank, as of this Tuesday, workers who have a checking or savings account at Caixa will automatically receive the credit in their account, according to the month of birth and the payment schedule.

Those who do not have a Caixa account will receive the amounts through the Digital Social Savings, automatically opened by Caixa and which can be operated by the Caixa Tem application.

If it is not possible to open a digital account, the money will be available for withdrawal in person at Caixa branches, lottery houses, electronic terminals and Caixa Aqui correspondents.

How to withdraw the PIS?

Workers who have a current or savings account at Caixa and had the amount deposited this Tuesday can withdraw it with their magnetic card and identification document at Caixa branches, lottery shops, electronic terminals and Caixa Aqui correspondents.

Those who received through Digital Social Savings can move the amount in the Caixa Tem app.

If the worker does not have an account at Caixa and the bank has not been able to open the digital savings in his name, the withdrawal can be carried out in person at the branch with presentation of the PIS number and an official photo document, such as RG or driver’s license.

How to use money through the Caixa Tem app?

The amount of the benefit credited to a checking or savings account can be used to pay bills or make transfers through internet banking or the Caixa app, available for cell phones and tablets.

The movement of Caixa’s digital savings, automatically opened for those who do not have a bank account, is carried out through the Caixa Tem application. It can be downloaded on mobile phones with Android and iOS operating system.

Through the application, it is possible to make purchases with a virtual debit card, pay slips and bills, make transfers and make withdrawals without a card at ATMs and lottery.

To make withdrawals without a card, it is necessary to select the option “Withdrawal without a card” in the Caixa Tem application, generate the code for withdrawal and use it for withdrawals at Caixa’s self-service terminals, lottery units and Caixa Aqui correspondents.

What documentation is required to withdraw?

To withdraw at the agencies, at the face-to-face customer service desk, it is necessary to bring the official identification document with photo and the PIS number. It is necessary to check with the employer if he has correctly provided the worker’s data on Rais. If the employer has not delivered the declaration, or has done so late, omitting information or including false or inaccurate declaration, the establishment is subject to a fine, according to the ministry. To file a complaint for failure to provide information, you must access the government’s labor complaints portal.

Errors such as the absence of the PIS number or the incorrect insertion of PIS by the employer can also cause the benefit to not be available this year. In this case, it is necessary to ask the employer to correct the information and the benefit will only be paid in the next year’s calendar.

According to the ministry, about 154,000 beneficiaries are in this situation and will receive automatically this year. No need to request the value. The benefit will be deposited into a Caixa digital account between February and March, according to the regular 2022 payment calendar.
