Downward trends prevailed today on the Athens Stock Exchange as sellers continue to dominate trading by cashing in profits. The General Index closed at 1,270.35 points with a loss of 0.39% having retreated to 1,258.03 points. The large-cap index fell 0.44% and the mid-cap index gained 0.43%. The Banks index lost 0.42%.
The value of the transactions improved slightly to reach 99.2 million euros, of which 19.6 million were for packages. The volume reached 31.7 million pieces.
In total, 56 stocks moved down, 39 moved up and 28 remained unchanged.
