Increase in salaried employment in the private sector is recorded in the month of December 2023according to the data of the “ERGANI” information system.

Specifically, based on the data of wage employment flows of December 2023, the recruitment announcements amounted to 224,104, while departures to 205,608. Of the 205,608 total departures, 69,700 came from voluntary departures and 135,908 from terminations of open-ended contracts, or expirations of fixed-term contracts.

The comparison of the data of the two months (December 2023 and December 2022) shows an increased performance of 9,629 more jobs, i.e. for December 2023 positive balance (18,496) jobs versus positive balance (8,867) in December 2022.

At the same time, the balance of salaried employment flows for the year 2023 is positive and is formed to 116,649 new jobs.

Cumulatively, for the period January-December 2023, recruitment announcements amounted to 3,214,205 jobs and departures reached 3,097,556, of which 1,979,873 were the result of termination of open-ended contracts or expiry of fixed-term contracts and 1,117 .683 voluntary departures.
