This is due to a last-minute move where the government decided to reduce ENFIA by about 350 million euros, when the state budget voted at the end of last year records an ENFIA relief of only 70 million euros.

According to the Prime Minister, the reduction of ENFIA will be implemented within the next two months, because the liquidations will come earlier this year and means a substantial improvement of the disposable income for the vast majority of Greek households, primarily for the weakest.

As Mr. Mitsotakis stated: “I asked for and I have some interesting examples. An apartment, say, in Egaleo of 120 square meters paid, in 2018, 488 euros ENFIA. This year, with the new reduction, he will pay 277 euros. It is a reduction of more than 200 euros per year. A 90-square-meter apartment in Korydallos paid 336 euros, this year it will pay 178 euros “.

He added: “Why did I refer specifically to these examples? To emphasize that the reduction of ENFIA is greater in the lower income strata. This, then, is a support to disposable income. As support for the disposable income were all the reductions of taxes and contributions that we made. It is something that is reflected in the increase of deposits. But that alone is not enough. That is why the government supported with a significant subsidy, the bills of electricity, gas, extended the heating allowance “.

According to the officials of the Ministry of Finance, in the areas with low and medium Zone Prices, not only the rates were reduced, but also the stairs “fell”, with the result that properties up to 100,000 euros have a tax reduction of about 30%, with immediate beneficiaries. over 730,000 taxpayers, while in many cases the reduction will reach approximately 50%.

In 2022 the zone price increased to 1250 euros (difference 13.64%) and the corresponding tax is 277.20 euros, reduced by 211.20 euros or 43.24%.

MUNICIPALITY OF PERISTERI

Apartment, 110 square meters, third floor, 24 years old, with a zone price of 1100 euros, paid in 2018 a tax of 431.62 euros.

In 2022 the price of the zone amounts to 1450 euros (difference 31.82%) and the corresponding tax is 244.98 euros, reduced by 186.65 euros or 43.24%.

MUNICIPALITY OF KORYDALLOS

Apartment, 90 square meters, third floor, 30 years old, with zone price, 1,200 euros, paid in 2018 tax 336.33 euros.

In 2022 the zone price increased to 1400 euros (difference 16.67%) and the corresponding tax is 178.16 euros, reduced by 158.17 euros or 47.03%.

The new statements are expected to be issued by the end of April and the tax will be paid in 10 monthly installments, with the first having to be paid at the end of May and the last (10th) end of February 2023
